Binary Puzzle in a nutshell
A Binary Puzzle is a grid that you fill with 0s and 1s. There are just three rules: no more than two of the same number side by side, the same number of 0s and 1s in every row and column, and no two rows or columns exactly alike. Logic alone leads you to the one solution.
- Look at the grid. Some squares already have a 0 or a 1. You fill in the rest.
- No three in a row. Never put more than two of the same number next to each other, across or down.
- Keep it balanced. Each row and each column must have the same number of 0s as 1s.
- Every line is different. No two rows may be exactly the same, and no two columns may be exactly the same.

Binary Puzzle questions
What are the rules of Takuzu?
Fill the grid with 0s and 1s so that no more than two of the same number sit side by side, each row and column has equal numbers of 0s and 1s, and no two rows or columns are identical.
Are Takuzu, binary Sudoku and Binary Puzzle the same?
Yes. These are different names for the same puzzle. You may also see it called Tic-Tac-Logic or Binoxxo, sometimes with Xs and Os instead of 0s and 1s.
Do I need to know binary numbers?
No. The 0s and 1s are just two symbols. You could play with two colours instead.
When do I use the no-matching-lines rule?
Usually near the end. If a row is almost finished and could only be completed in a way that copies another finished row, you know it must be the other way round.
