Questions people ask
How does the word unscrambler work?
It checks every word on our list against your letters and keeps the ones you could spell with them. Each letter can be used as many times as you typed it, and a question mark can stand for any letter.
Why are the longest words shown first?
In most board word games the longer words are the ones worth finding, so they come first. The number beside each group tells you how many words of that length there are.
Why does it say it is showing only some of the words?
With a lot of letters there can be thousands of words. We show the first 500, longest first, so the page stays quick. Pick a word length or a starting letter to see the rest.
How short can the words be?
Three letters. Our word list covers words of three to nine letters.
Can I use it on today’s GamesBento puzzles?
No. Answers to today’s daily word games on GamesBento are left out of the results, so the daily puzzles stay fair for everyone.
Is it free?
Yes. It is free, with no download and no sign-up, and works on a phone, tablet or computer.
